I was listened to Shoemoney's podcast that had a XY7.com rep on it yesterday, and IMO they sounded pretty good. I went ahead and signed up minutes after I finished listening to the podcast. I was approved almost instantly. I looked thru their offers -- they looked pretty good. I tried their Jamster ring tone offer, but stats were not being counted at all. Also, their banner rotation tool would display a not allowed to view this message. So anyway, I contacted Mike from XY7 via AIM. He seemed pretty laid back (lots of LOL's and AWW's) not exactly what you would excpect, but it was no biggy. He pasted back some code a few times, but it did not work. The flash banner would not load, nor would it track any impressions or clicks. The issue has been postponed till tomorrow because their coder appearently left? In the meantime I will try a few other offers. So far -- I am not impressed. Their website is horrible. It's slow, cheesy, and not very easy to navigate; it reminds me of websites back in 1998. Their ads are also non-standards compliant. Before I get flamed for this -- it's 2006 folks, ad companies need to start offering valid html ad code. While it really doesn't matter for some that just use landing pages -- it matters to me because I have a standards compliant website. I am not bashing XY7 because I have yet to sucessfully run any of their ads, so I will report back to this thread after things get sorted out tomorrow. PROS --------------- Lots of Offers Good $ Fast Approval (Extremly Fast) Cons -------------- Slow Website Website Hard to Navigate (Banner images don't display, just red x's) Tech Support not up to par (shouldn't take two days to fix a flash banner) Non-compliant HTML Ad code
Don't think so. There site is making me pull my hair up. Just took a good 20 minutes to make a rotation of a few offers. It ended up not saving...
I decided to drop them. Their ad selection while big lacks variety with banner sizes. Their rotator is terrible as well. Took 3-4 tries to get it to work finally. Also their CP is very hard to navigate. Azoogle all the way! They need a new website, better banner size varity, and more user friendly CP.
I'm just starting to try XY7, one thing that did impress me was that I got three calls from my "account rep" who actually seemed to take an interest in my sites and suggested offers. I've never seen this before. Finally I told him I couldn't add their ads because I didn't get their website. He walked me through creating a campaign and then I understood it. I'm going to give it a shot and see how it goes. I've got ads on two sites i'll run them a week and see if they outperform Adsense.
Ok so after trying some of their offers on a few of my mall related sites I was about to give up. I even tried a couple automotive offers on my automotive pages and got nada. I pulled all the ads and then got a call from Chris my account manager. We talked and I told him if he could find me an offer that worked i'd run it. Sure enough he found one that would perfectly match a toy related site I have. I ran the offer and it added about $3.00 per day to the site and didn't hurt my Adsense. I then decided to try some PPC against the same offer and found that in this particular case I got a good ROI so now i'm working from that angle vs organic. I launched a new PPC campaign against another offer today so i'll see how that goes. Assuming I get paid on time i'll deffinetly keep running PPC with XY7.com for offers that I can make go. Hopefully i'll get the hang of the PPC CPA thing and can stop relying on Adsense so much.
