I can see both sides. Adult sites do not want sites to be blocked from search engines easy.

I can not see why some groups that are against adult sites wanted it blocked also. I figured they would wnat sites with domain names so it could be blocked easy. If they made all sites use the domain name filters would pick the sites out easy.

I have mixed feelings abou this; the concept does make sense, but do we really need another extension?

Do you believe adult sites really care search engine blocking?

Lots of adult sites appears listed on Google after hijacking the headers of non-adult sites, so it's probably that they find a way to get xxx indexed anyway.

As in example, xxx.com and xxxcom.co.uk are indexed in Google at the top or other 155,000,000 results

I think they should allow .XXX domain cause when you see that kind of domain you simply get away from this site if you dont like adult contents.
and they should then ban adult content on other TLD domains!!

I think in the long run it is good that it was rejected. It could be a freedom-of-speech nightmare.
