Alright, the title might seem confusing but here it goes: I am planning out a movie website which is primarily designed for peole to watch movies online. When you go to the site it will just have movies on the main page, but there will be a separate section for TV shows, and another section for sports streams. I do not want to combine these two sections together as one but I want both to be on a Wordpress blog (assuming I can embed a live stream in WP). What would my best option be? If I were to have live.mymoviename.com and mymoviename.com/watch-tv-episodes, would that be good? Or, can I have mymoviename.com/live-sports-streams and mymoviename.com/watch-tv-episodes ...both being separate blogs. Maybe it's a stupid question but I want to make sure I don't get penalized for anything. I'm definitely not experienced with SEO so what may seem like a minor thing right now could be a huge deal later on down the road. Thanks
You shouldn't get penalized for either but Google has already said they index domain.com/xxx better than xxx.domain.com so I'd just do that ...
I have heard arguments on both sides but like webwest says, Google likes the domain.com/xxx better and that is always what I have stuck with.
