XP/Vista Installation

    is it possible to install Xp/Vista from pen drive.,o that without cd-drive you can install os from pen drive.????or running xp/vista directly from pen drive?????:confused:

    it is possible but to do that you bios have to have facility to boot from pen drive. if it is there you can do that.

    Yes, it is possible..

    I already do it once, when I install Windows XP on acer aspire one notebook which is no cd rom.

    Well, I did an installation directly from my another Drive. :p

    No need of USB or CD. :D

    Don't bother, go and get Windows 7, it's really easy to install and beats the pants off the older OS

    if you plan to install windows 7 from usb thumb drive,
    u need to get at least 4Gb drive as i far as i concern
    the size of the windows 7 installation files is about 3.6+Gb

    That's another story if you know how to compress it, but it will take
    you about 2 days..(can you imagine that? too long..)

    to setup your thumbdrive with windows installation
    just search for this software -- boot from usb drive

    Windows can also be installed over ethernet if your laptop is connected to other computer on a network. It the technology called PX Boot .
