XP/Vista Installation

is it possible to install Xp/Vista from pen drive.,o that without cd-drive you can install os from pen drive.????or running xp/vista directly from pen drive?????

 

it is possible but to do that you bios have to have facility to boot from pen drive. if it is there you can do that.

Yes, it is possible..

I already do it once, when I install Windows XP on acer aspire one notebook which is no cd rom.

Well, I did an installation directly from my another Drive.

No need of USB or CD.

Don't bother, go and get Windows 7, it's really easy to install and beats the pants off the older OS

 

if you plan to install windows 7 from usb thumb drive,
u need to get at least 4Gb drive as i far as i concern
the size of the windows 7 installation files is about 3.6+Gb

That's another story if you know how to compress it, but it will take
you about 2 days..(can you imagine that? too long..)

to setup your thumbdrive with windows installation
just search for this software -- boot from usb drive

 

I think , it would become more complex to run your operating system.
