XP Upgrade

    If I upgrade my machine that currently has XP Home on it to XP Professional will I lose all my data?

    It crashed in a storm the other night and now everytime I boot it up, it reboots itself. Over and Over and Over.

    I get this everytime. And everything points to a virus. But I don't think so. I had virus software. I ran a check with Norton CD as well.

    I can't get to anything. I get to the desktop and this graphic appears. It won't start in safe mode either.

    My machine doesn't stay up long enough to do anything.

    Sounds like WebMistress is correct.

    On reboot, do a safe start-up (F8). Then clean your machine as needed.
