I use Vista at home and XP at work - Vista (with 2GB RAM) and 2Ghz dual core is slower than 1.0Ghz 1GB ram XP box.

man i'd downgrade that until Microsoft finds a way to speed Vista up; XP is way faster than Vista right now. Unless I really needed DX10 I'd stay the hell away from Vista.

It's called evolution. Every OS does this. Every game does this. Every program does this. Then why just Vista is bad? Why not a game? A game needs even 4 gigs of ram and 1000$ video card... What about that? The game does or doesn't "sux"? ;)

I would say a game that needs 4GB of RAM and a $1000 vid card is pretty excessive...I don't think many games are that demanding..you can run them on less, its just not quite as good.

Of course I was exagerating, like people do with Vista when they claim that you need a really high configuration to run it.

Even if, why Vista can't run on a high config but a game does? It's a game more helpful? More productive? No! Just more addictive, time-wasting, and so on.

Vista is time-saving, and it lets you work with the latest technology. A game does that? No! It just needs more RAM and video card, and that's all it's "productivity".

Most gamers are willing to sacrifice because they love to play games, but for people looking for an OS to do work with or every day tasks, speed really is a factor. And 98% of software that runs on Vista runs on XP, so until this trend starts changing, I see no reason to upgrade.

Definitely Xp is a far better, and faster solution than Vista... there is no comparison to which one is better... simply Xp!
