    windows xp is so much better

    example:
    In Vista you need to run command promp as admin even if yout account is an admin just to run something as simple as dskchk. In Xp if your admin then you dont need to worry about run as admin you just open cmd and your good to go.

    All these extra security features in vista are just a hassle...they dont really stop anything

    And that's why Windows is getting full of spyware, viruses and so on. Why dou you need to be an admin all the time? In Linux you always stay logged in as root?

    No, in Linux you are a normal user with no root access. If you need admin access to install a program or do an internal change, the GUI ask you the root password or logon as a root on the terminal prompt.

    That's what I'm trying to say. You don't need always admin access in Windows, just if you want to mess things up!

    xp is good the bad thing is all new laptops all come on vista in uk no choise of xp unless its second hand or a returned item
