also if you remember when Xp came out no one realy wanted it, well it is the same now with vista people complain about certain tings but it has barely been out and is still getting worked on so it will become grater.

well if you dont have lots of ram then its best to say your not 2007. these days people have dual cores and quad cores with minumum 2Gb ram. So if you dont have a computer like that then upgrade your crappy P4 and get a REAL computer and stop wining cause you dont have a computer. Now if you had a new age pc you might like vista better as you can run it.

Consider this though the 2008 is a piece of crap and runs horrible and the 1990 still runs like new which would u choose

LOL no way the 1990's look better. and also if it dosen't run as good then u upgrade the performance on the 2008 so that it runs very good. So there you have it vista still wins.

Also what do u have in your computer, i bet its like a P4 with 265Mb ram thats why you don't like vista cause you don't have the $500-$1000 to upgrade to a 2007 computer

I have both XP and Vista:
Vista has a lot of bugs and needs frequent updates (almost 100 MB windows update every week!)

Last bug: Vista did not recognize any USB memory stick; I had to patch it in order to use my sticks !!!

depends on the machine, i'm running xp on my laptop and vista on my dekstop.
Vista seems to run fine, but it is a bit of a resource hog still. - but it's not too much of a problem.

Well of course a 1990 wouldnt look better but it may run better under circumstances ( unlikely so maybeya slightly newer once suck as the same time difference between xp and vista) , just as xp run better than vista most of the time, because xp uses less resources. By the way I have a 4GB RAM quad core 2.4GHz processor less than 4 months old and I still prefer xp over vista.

I run both on my desktop and I notice a huge difference in the resources vista takes compared to xp. Other than that both run fairly fine other than a few minor things in vista

Vista has a few huge updates at first then theres like none unless you are deleting them after. it picks up every usb stick unless u have a bad copy of vista. also if its updating heaps isn't that a good thing? cause you people say that thers is bug in vista and if there is then the updates are fixing them

I am on a computer running Vista, too lazy to downgrade it :p
The reason I despise Vista is that it is a resource hog and many features on it are useless. XP is also much more compatible with many programs and applications.

that just confounds me that they would make Vista be the Norton of OS's...I want faster not a better looking platform!!

but how much memory are you running? if it's 1GB or less then no wonder!
