I like xp for now. I think people will eventually get used to vista and want to use that.

XP is what I'm using. I won't upgrade unless I have a need.

Vista I like the way it is set up and better to have new things. Also I got a genuine copy from school for $5. I take a computer hardware class for 3 hours at another school and they offered it to us. Business Edition

Another vote for Vista from me. I could never go back to XP after experiencing Vista. :)

no point getting vista unless your buying a new PC or you can get an upgrade dirt cheap.
    Vistas good, but £200!!

XP. Vista is still bleeding edge. I'm still seeing too much instability in the Vista OS.

At first when I was purchasing a laptop I was a little skeptical about buying one with Vista pre installed on it (Home Premium). After using it for a while it didn't seem so bad and rarely crashed for me (desktop with XP + SP2 crashed 20x more). It is a little slow at times as there is alot of crap running in the background, it chews 50% of my 1 gig of memory when just idle. Alot of the features are pretty slick though.

At current I still prefer XP over Vista but only XP with SP1 or less.

When you strip Vista from all the styling gadgets, and things that do not need to run it is a decent OS.
It does need getting used to and it has to be upto date.

XP, the only reason i keep vista on my desktop, is i like the look and ofcourse, the great DX10.

I have never ONCE crashed with vista and im running ultimate. It is a resource whore, but hey, when you have the sufficient need's, why not eh? If you have a quad core, with 4gb ram, it will hardly ever flinch.

I'd rather stick with XP for the next few years - until Microsoft drops support for XP.
