    Hello,

Well, i wanna get rid of vista and put XP Pro back on. I have a legit disk of XP pro, yet when i go to boot it from startup (select booting device) i get an error saying NTLDR Error. I need to know how i can fix this, and get rid of the piece of shite i like to call vista. I would have been able to do this, as im usually good with tech spots on computing, but this has caught me.

If you can help me, i will be grately appreciative! Will also give you $4...(all i have in PP)

    Regards

When I got rid of vista I had to use an old dos disk to fdisk and format the drive before the xp cd could do its thing.

I think the file systems are different.

If you don't have an old dos disk you download the ultimate boot disk. It has all the tools you need.

That is what I meant. Then you burn that download to a cd as an iso image and boot from the cd.

When you format the drive, do a full format, not quick, even though xp will do it again.

ok, home now, but it seams that the UBCD is in linux formatt, and won't burn as an bootable image. even then, it won't run when its not bootable, it just opens up windows explorer. so i downloaded UBCD4Win and it came in an EXE, which seams to just be an burning software.

    Any more advice mate?

What burning software do you have on your computer?

There should be an option in all of them to burn an iso image (bootable disk).

Yes it boots to Linux and then loads DOS if you want DOS. You select from a menu once it boots.

Maybe th UBCD4win will allow you to burn the iso.

Anything, no matter what it is that you download is going to need to be converted to bootable CD.

If you can't manage to burn one, you will have to buy one already burnt.
