Hello, I am trying to get to grips with Xoops but I'm not doing that well.

For instance, I have to login to see the home page, can I disable that?

    Thanks!

    Hello,
To make things visible without logging in you need to adjust the 'groups' settings. Go to 'administration' hover over the 'system admin' icon' choose 'groups' you can then choose the settings for each user group you'll probably have 3. Webmasters - that'll be you, normally everything is visible to them when logged in, Registered Users - you can choose what they see, and Anonymous Users/Guests - tick off all the boxes in this one that you want people to see or access without being logged in (don't give them module admin rights).
Best place to go for loads of info & new modules and stuff or support is http:// www.xoops.org
