Hello Guys, How are you all? Hope well I have got a question today so if anybody from here aware of this situation with Xoom please let me know.. Today my client sent a payment for $XXX, after 1 minute payment was verified and after another 1-2 minutes, I got a status message "Transfer Delay". There is a same message there at this time after around 7-8 hours of sent time. There is also notice available there which is saying "There is a temporary delay in processing this transaction. The status should be updated shortly. If there are further delays, Customer Service will contact the sender." I am seeing this very first time. Is anybody let me know why this is happening? Huge traffic due to Diwali in India? Thanks,
Well on high amount they take time. Incase the sender is sending for first time using XOOM, means if its a new account of ur sender. You should check status after 24 hours.
the same problem is with me .. i just transferred 120$ frm my frnd but its saying " Transfer Delay There is a temporary delay in processing this transaction. The status should be updated shortly. If there are further delays, Customer Service will contact the sender. " for last 8-9 hrs ... its a cash pickup transaction..
Infact i heard this first time No need to worry about that as they sort out this very quickly as other issues. If not then you can contact them at their Indian contact number (check their website help section). DON.
What country are you in and what country is he/she in? Xoom always has transfer delays and I do believe that Xoom had a problem with Credit Card Fraud as most people used them to transfer money in and out of accounts. That can be a reason why there are doing a delay maybe checking everything is legit. Allow 24-48hours...you will get your money if everything is legit.
Yes I know that they have a payment verification system. But they have already verified the payment and now it is more than 24 hours passed and there is a same status message appeared.
Ah okay. Well then there can be either A) a problem with there payment processing system which they are trying to fix or just simply updating. or B) a problem with the seller and they are trying to gather more information. Was the payment for more then $250.00USD. What country are you in?
I don't think there will be a problem with seller and this client is transferring regularly since last 3 months. I think there is a problem with their system. I am from India and Client is from Aus.
As they said,it may be "temporary delay" from their side,but if its still not cleared then its better to contact them.
I think without wasting time just give them a phone call at their customer care number 1242575678 and ask them about this problem. They will give you proper answer immediately. You need to give them xoom tracking number and sender,receiver name details. DON.

i got an update message by xoom abt this delay .... they are experiencing some internal server problem with instant cash servers. they said that now they are re initiating this transaction from their side again and it will be done in next few hours .

I have used Xoom a several times and I never faced an issue like this .. Hope they fix asap .. It would be great if you can call there customer care and ask a definite time.
Why don't you call them up and inquire about it? I guess they do have TOLL FREE NUMBER. Just call them!
after 48 hrs of delay , they have cancelled the transfer .. current status is Transfer cancelled , refund in progress .
There has to be a problem with either from the sender or the receiver. I received my funds today from a client using Xoom and I received it this now to long ago.
