First Xoom stopped accepting paypal, then they have as of today stopped accepting non usa credit cards as payment for transactions. Yuck. I now have no means of funding the transaction. I have contractors in India, and they are not able to accept paypal payments. Now I can't pay them with Xoom. It will be interesting to see if my Indian contractors are able to accept payments via say Western Union.
Western Union is an awfully expensive way to send money. What about Moneybookers, can your contractors accept that ? Depending upon which bank you are with you could wire the money to the receivers account from your bank account. I used to do that with Kiwibank a few years ago, but I am in Oz now.
You can send payment through paypal to your indian contractors as well as you can send them through WU as well. DON.
Just figured out why they prefered xoom - was better exchange rate, and no fees. Just convinced one contractor that I will be paying via paypal, and putting a little extra on top to cover their fees.
yes you can send mass payments to them by adding just $1+ to their amount. so only $1 deducted from the amount of paypal. But there will be exchange fee to them when they withdrawing the amount to bank account.
