[Xoom Issue] 900$ = 900 INR

    Hello guys,

    I recently made a transfer using xoom. I sent them 900$ to be deposited to a bank account after few hours I got a mail from them that your transaction is underway when I checked the amount it showed Amount: 900 INR :eek:

    Emailed them a hour ago dint got any reply from them.


    How can such big companies can make such mistakes.

    E-mail them with all the information you have got. I think its just a ( obviously a big) silly mistake. Don't think the big fella will suck this. Contact to the bank and try to get the transaction details. Wait until they take the legitimate step. Good luck

    I did it dint got any reply from them yet 2-3 hours passed.

    Still waiting ..............

    Its from my Paypal account to bank account.

    Try to call their office. That will be faster than usual

    Make sure you aren't sending money inside India. I don't live in usa but as far as i know, it isn't allowed to send money inside india from india.

    I have done this before....
    try contacting their support number...
    while authorizing the transaction at XOOM website didn't you see
    the converted amount ?

    India to India cash pickup is not available but you can transfer to bank account. You can call their office and you will get your money back. You dont have to worry about it.

    India 2 India $$ transfer is available at Xoom but can transfer to Bank account only. Cash PickUp is not available for India 2 India transfers.

    Also they have closed their Instant Cash Counters in India. So cash Pick Up is no more available with Xoom.

    When i transfered money from paypal to my bank account i never raised problem like this and actual amount of $$ with equal to INR converted to my bank account after five to six business days.
    You are suffered big problem and contact admin of paypal team....
    Hope you will solve this problem quickly.

    It was just an error by Xoom.

    has it been legalized to transfer money from outside india to india without any documents or xoops has some other mechanism ?
