If you upload an XML sitemap to your root folder, will Google index the sitemap in the search results where you main domain appears and the it will have the subdomains below it, or do you need a regular sitemap for this?
You can't mix domains and subdomains in the same XML sitemap file. You need one XML sitemap for each domain/subdomain
yeap, if you add XML sitemap to your root folder, Google will index the sitemap in the search results where you main domain appears
how many times i can submit my xml sitemap to webmaster tool ? will this hurt me submitting sitemap each month . looking for a quick response .
Create separate sitemap.xml for Subdomain and domain. If you mix both in a single sitemap file, then you will face problem while you submit a sitemap in Google Webmaster Tool.
it gets easier for Google to index all your pages in the website if you have an xml sitemap generator..
I don't need that having a separate sitemap for each domain and subdomain really matters. You can upload multiple sitemaps, what Google really needs are the URLs and a knowledge of what URLs and what to leave out.
