XML Sitemap question

    Hi there,

    I want to know that making and uploading a new XML sitemap can affect the ranking or not?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your reply.

    Actually, I want to say that creating a new XML sitemap for a website and removing the existing XML sitemap can decrease the current position of the keywords in Google or it would not affect at all.

    Sitemap does not effect PR; however, your pages will better indexed by google and may increase your position.

    No, it won't. Infact, it will increase since there is a update in the sitemap and Google loves new things in a website :)

    one of the purpose of sitemap is to help to index site faster.. some site don't have sitemap but still crawl frequently... regular update and link building can also help...
