XML Site Map Maintenance

    Hey folks,

    I have a pretty dynamic site, with new users and new content appearing every day.

    I have a site map, generated in XML and I'm wondering how frequently it should be updated.

    Daily, Weekly, Monthly?

    Thanks for any advice!

    Are the links changing? A sitemap is really just the links, if the content is changing but not the links you don't have to resubmit the sitemap.

    If your links are changing then and then it is needed to submit again the sitemap. Otherwise it is of no use to submit again.

    Update the sitemap when there are changes in the link/urls (added or removed).

    Try getting a coder to make a script which will generate a new sitemap when pages/links are update or on a time interval. It may cost a few hundred dollars but I would be worth it.
