Xhtml Question in Wordpress?

How do you create an image, or just a regular href link thats going to be entered on the sidebar widget using the text box area. Cause whenever i enter a link on my side bar widget, it violates the xhtml rule. Also when i use a seo design analyzer tool by raven, it states this
