Hi people I'm new here ^^ I was on another forum before but it kinda died out, so hopefully I can get bucket loads of help here now ;p I'm currently building a website, and I'm almost done with the template but I just have one problem. The website: » nupixel.net/files/ux-move.com/move.php The CSS: » nupixel.net/files/ux-move.com/style.css (sorry I don't have hyperlink features yet) The navigation (#navigation) disappears in Internet Explorer! I've checked the site across other browsers (Firefox, Safari) and everything seems to be fine, the navigation doesn't disappear. I've tried using XRAY plugin for Firefox and Internet Explorer, but no luck. I'm a bit of a noob at CSS, as this is actually my first real website done with divs (yeah I was a TABLE TR TD freak before ;p), so can someone please check over the site and advise me on what I might be doing wrong? I appreciate your help ^_^ ps00n™ Btw sorry! I didn't realise there was a sub-forum for CSS, admin please move the thread >_<
Might be IE6 that is the problem. I checked in IE7, but it's okay. Can't check in IE6 till I get home tomorow.
#header { background-image: url('images/lay-header-bg.jpg'); background-repeat: repeat-x; width: 950px; height: 132px; } Pls increasing height of #header
The style sheet URL is: nupixel.net/files/ux-move.com/stylesheet.css I tested your site with IE6. If what you call "#navigation" is the navigation bar that features "Home", "Sales", "Lettings", etc., for me it works OK. ;-) Good luck in this forum.
Thanks a lot for your replies! I can't believe I made such a stupid error lol.. I had #header set to 132px height, which would have been correct if I didn't place #navigation WITHIN #header -.-'' So solution was to either increase the height of #header (as suggested by EIx) to accommodate for the #navigation, or simple put #navigation outside of the #header Site looks fine in all browsers now, not bad for a first website eh ^_^ Solved! Thanks for helping ps00nâ„¢
