XENU - is there any other tools as good ?

I would like to have a tool like xenu, but with more options. Is there such a tool around ?

Yes, even better! It's the webmaster tool and it not only checks for broken links, it builds sitemaps, provides detailed page information, load times and much more.

Another plus, Xenu has built in ads for it's cause, this webmaster tool does not (it's 100% free!).

 

Thanks. I actually used that tool before, but its not reliable when you have sites with 10000 pages.

 

There are tons of sites that have used this tool that range well beyond 10k pages and have no problems.

Can you be more specific? Where did the 10,000 number come from and how did you determine this? When did you last use the tool?

Perhaps you can do me a favor and provide an example url, I will run this test myself and try to duplicate the results.

If there is such a problem, this is the first I have heard of it and would like to find out why this is happening to you.

There are another alternatives to Xenu, but as desktop solutions not for running on the server.

Though there must be some at www.sourceforge.net

 

Is it your site?

Its a few months ago I used it, but I had to give it up due to the tool stopping scanning after so and so many scanned sites. 10000 is not accurate, it could have been 12000 or 15000. I was also surprised that it didnt work for me anymore because I used it a lot and really liked it.
