    Google Sandbox is an Adwords tool.

    There is a delay in google which can be countered two ways.

    1. Drive large amounts of untargeted traffic to the site.

    2. Drive large amounts of targeted traffic to the site.


    Seriously though, the sandbox rumor has got to stop.

    its why new sites i have on a new server seem to take a few months before there is any page rank at all...even with more traffic and linkbacks than old sites.... but you are right..who cares...just effects google search rank. Simply curious

    Well it takes more than traffic and linkbacks needs to be seo'd...needs at least 5 years domain registration....needs to have relevant one way links from various IPs, site clean coded, robots.txt, two sitemaps, and other parts of the recipe and then some traffic tossed in...

    We had eliteweb.cc with Google PageRank 2 after 15 days, alot was due to a huge Press Release media push once live, this also had a residual effect on getting a listed in the rankings quickly which is helping to sustain traffic as growing is slow work.

    Getting a PR 2 in 15 days has more to do with the fact that you just happen to launch the site 15 days before the PR update. You talking like the harder you work the faster you will get toolbar PR or something...

    You say that there is no such thing as a sandbox when there is clearly a filter on many new websites, and you speak as though your some sort of guru. Sounds to me like you don't know anything.

    No comments on Sandbox. But getting visible PR definitely depends on when Google does a visible PR update, like what mdvaldosta said.

    And if mdvaldosta had not been so quick to try to discredit me about the PR there would be no need to even go there.

    Since Google only updates PR in the toolbar once every three or four months it was not part of the reason, as the last toolbar update just finished at the end of December

    And the arguement is not on the amount of searches someone thinks is done by doing some preliminary research...the post was in reference to whether some sandbox existed with Google.. which there is not one.

    And yes in addition to many other terms, I am ranked for improved ranking and it brings me all the traffic I want each day.
