We are selling our (legit) XenForo account + license because we no longer have a need for the forum software. The original price of a new license is $140 and we are selling it for $115, that's $25 off the original price. The software is still in beta, and once fully released you will have access to your normal support options and features for a year.

    PM me if your interested.

Have fun waiting. It may take forever and also. One it's over prices of the software will rise. So instead of this amazing price you will be paying a bit more.

Exactly. And Internet Brands is going to lose the law suit big suite big time. There is no "copyrighted code". And even IF they did lose it, you would get refunded the $100 which I originally paid.

You don't need to be a lawyer to say that, read around the forums.

Ha? vBulletin fanboy much? Like I said even IF xenForo loses the court case (in a few years..), which is very unlikely, xenForo would refund all its customers what they paid. So I don't see this bending the truth.

If XF does lose the case, then there is actually a very slim possibility of any refund being issued to current customers. If anything, your XF license would be either converted to an IB license or some other type of credit.

But, either way it is moot point right now because...

fanboy? maybe but more or less a realistic mind...
The only ones that know the details of the case are those involved, & neither you or I are one of those people ;)
Everything else is pure speculation. You're claiming details of the case which you know nothing about.
Apparently the license can't be transferred already anyways, per KW802's post.

I'm selling my account with my license, not transferring my license.

While I agree with you the truth is we DON'T know what the arguments will be about. It isn't just about the code.

I personally think even if IB wins the case, that XF will still exist and would at the most face big fines/penalties. I don't see them closing down or being closed down.

Then again I will wait for the final verdict. I have bought 1 license to support them and to try it out myself.

I can't see how that would be possible.

I can say it would be tough to refund everyone. Personally, I don't think anything major will happen. I'm sure XF will still stay running just may have to rise costs for licenses.

Isn't that illegal? And why would someone to that? Then technically you still own the license and could take it back WHENEVER you wanted too. As you STILL would be listed as the owner.

No. It's just like as if you wanted to sell an IPB license. They don't allow legal transferring. You sell your account, you update it with their email, and the buyer updates it with all their information so your no longer the owner. I don't see how it could be illegal, but I can see why companies would discourage it.

hmm I am asking, because I remember for vB. They do not allow you change the users information. Plus if the user can prove they bought the license eg. Paypal ID. Then the original owner can take the license back.

Legally transferring a license actually means the new owner cannot ever take it back.

I'm sure XF allows you to legally transfer a license. I remember Ashely stating something like this....

I'm intrested. Offering $90 for the xenForo license and your xF account.

The Software may be permanently transferred by the original purchaser to a third party ("Subsequent Licensee") not before 120 days following purchase, provided that the expiry date of the License falls after the date of the transfer. The original licensee may not retain a copy or installation of the Software. The Subsequent Licensee must agree to the terms of this Agreement and waive the right to transfer.

After 120 days if I can't transfer the license myself, you should transfer it for me.

In case xenforo loses the lawsuit with IB and you get a reffund, you will return $90.

    Deal?
