Xbox 360 + Adwords

I tried to create a campaign in Adwords related to Xbox, and all my keywords have quality score "Poor".

I can say for sure, that they are relevant, ad is good, and landing page is my affiliate link.

Do I get bad QS, because "xbox" is a trademark?

It should be a matter of trademark. Maybe a matter of copy? I wouldn't see why they wouldn't allow that. I see Nintendo WII plastered all over searches, so it's obviously working out on the Nintendo circuit.

no not because its a trademark, if it was a trademark your ad would just be disabled not poor quality.

I am sure it has to do with the setup of your campaign, text ads and landing pages.

What does your text ad look like? Whats the display URL and destination URL?

yeah, I am willing to bet your landing page and/or ad text doesn't mention xbox 360 enough.

The problem was that I was using affiliate link for destination url....It used to work fine, not long time ago, but now it seems Adwords hates affiliates.

After I changed the destination url to a proper landing page, quality score jumped to "OK" and "Great" in few hours.

I never knew they looked down upon affiliates, that's kind of lame.

    roberpriolo

It was just the domain of the page where the customer lands after clicking the ad.
