Xampp on windows SP2-not workin

    I installed xampp on win sp2 and turned windows firewall off which is known problem for this to work.
    Apache is still not working. Any ideas how to make it work?

    Stupid question, but are you actually running Apache? Check in your task manager. I can't remember if you have to explicitly run it or not (until you install it as a service, that is).

    You might also want to check that when you click start to run apache that it actually stays running.
    For example, if you have an IIS installed which is also running on port 80, you might have to change the configuration or stop IIS ...
