here is my problem. i am connected through a netgear router and the router is connected to my LAN. i have xampp on my laptop which is connected wireless to the router. i am using virtualnamehost. via domains. i can view, edit, and do anything i want to my domains on my server but only internally... i cannot access my webpages outside of my network. my httpd.vhost.conf file is the only thing that has something in it. should i have anything in httpd.conf? i have my router port fowarding to my internal ip address of 192.168.1.4 and that is the same ip address i use for my httpd.vhost.conf file and my Namevirtual host inside the httpd.vhost.conf file. my dns which is free through freedns.afraid.org is using my external ip which is 75.176.185.xxx ... now im wondering why i can connect to it using my domain. but ppl from the outside cannot connect to it? do i have to set my router to give me a STATIC IP ADDRESS??? and should the STATIC IP be what my external ip address is since my DNS is using that or should i set it to be my internal IP? please help.. i know its alot and kinda messed up lol. but ill post my config files.
