I'm using dreamweaver 8 to design my site. The text on most of the pages is a dark purple colour, I've used the same colour on borders around my photos. When I preview the site the text is still purple but the borders are black? Is this what will show up when I publish the site? This happens on every single page. Is there anything I'm missing as to why the border colour doesn't appear purple?

The best way to see how your pages will look is to view them in the actual browsers.

    cheers,

I have used DW8 on the beginning but I switched back to DWMX.
    Didn't like DW8 at all.

Always use some browser. The built in ones on Dreamweaver and Frontpage can be deceiving.

are you using a 1 pixel border around your images? if so, it may appear to be black because their isn't much space ikn width for the eye to perceive the color to be purple, but it probably is purple. do you have a lin to the page where i can see what it looks like?

nope I haven't published the page yet. It's my first attempt at a site and I really don't know too much about what I'm doing.
