    I think the script is great for modifying into a text based newswire. I've been self-teaching myself PERL and I think I could do something great with it. If nothing else I think it would be a great reference for learning PERL. Any thoughts?

    I've used Ikonboard which is also written in Perl. It's been dead for almost a decade too, though.

    What exactly do you want to know about wwwboard?

    I've already made some adjustments to it to fit my needs. What I'd like to do is develop a way to have every new topic created display a synopsis of its message. Do you understand what I'm talking about?
