www works http:// doesn't

I recently moved from my old host to a new reseller.

I created my own name servers in my Godaddy account panel.

However I think http://animeomnitude.com still goes back to my old server while only www.animeomnitude.com works for the new one.

Can anyone verify this and tell me what I did wrong :( ?

Both take me to IP 173.244.212.243

If you've only just changed your DNS you may have to wait 24 - 48 hours for the changes to fully take effect.

However you also seem to have the NS records in your zone as ns1.scvps.com and ns2.scvps.com rather than ns1.animeomnitude.com and ns2.animeomnitude.com.

You are also supposed to use 2 IP addresses on 2 different machines rather than force both nameservers to 1 IP but still.

Agree with the above. I know its super frustrating, but you need to be patient when you make DNS changes.

Okay that explains it then... But in other cases, it's really important to be patient, sometimes it takes a while until the DNS changes propagate, so many users will still access the old hosts for some time.

MilesB, just checked your domain again, you still have errors in your zone file relating to your NS records, looks like they are still reading ns1.scvps.com and ns2.scvps.com, your SOA record is wrong as well, you should get it corrected.

Been experimenting with tons of dns and I get this now.

    http://www.intodns.com/animeomnitude.com

I can access the site but external sites such as proxies, w3 validator and google webmaster report error 500 or 503 temporarily unavailable ?

So you're back to using your hosts nameservers now?

If so just ask your host to sort out the records for you as the zone seems to want to be using ns3 and ns4 but you've set the nameservers as ns1 and ns2, I don't know which is right for your host so you'll have to ask them for the correct nameservers and ask them to fix the zone file. Bit of a mess really.

As you seem to have been playing with DNS then you might well find you have to wait a couple of days before everything settles down, that is once you get the errors corrected.
