Introducing http://www.TouchMyTab.com/ - I created an online discussion forum for touch screen tablets. I originally was going to make a forum just for the BlackBerry PlayBook, and beat the rush of people that would do the same thing once it's released. But as I was trying to think up a domain that wasn't taken, I was wondering why not expand my market and target all touch screen tablets? I did some more research to find that there isn't really a forum like mine and if there is it's inactive.

What excites me the most about this forum is it can do nothing but grow considering that touch screen tablets are a newer technology and everyone is getting involved with them. I know the forum still needs a logo I am in the process of getting one done as I am typing this. Anyways would just like some reviews / suggestions.

I like the layout and the ideas for the different forums. The user interface is intuitive and seems easy to use.

My recommendations- the header graphic/ logo is pretty generic looking. The header reminds me of some cheesy affiliate marketing site or something- it's not catchy enough.
Also, you don't have a landing page- when people end up at your site, it might be difficult to figure out what it's all about. Maybe you need a tagline?

 

Yeah like I said I'm currently working on getting a new logo/banner designed for the forum and I may even change the colors around later down the road. But thanks for your input!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could get more registrations and no one every gave an example of what other pages I should make?

 

I really like everything except the header graphic. What forum software is that? I was going to set up a vbulletin forum but it's complicated and that look sgood. Any integration with Wordpress i.e. latest forum posts plugin or anything?

 

More registrations - Google Adwords? Get a free voucher and see if you can generate some with cheap keywords.

Trying your suggestion, got a $100 coupon, actually have a couple of them google keeps sending me them in the mail..

 

i think you can replace the mouse clicker on the logo header with a finger... that would probably suit your site "Touch" concept more.

Otherwise as others have said good foresight. However there are a ton of these sites popping up so good luck!
