Why post it without actually tring to submit a link??? It not only looks a disaster, it is one.

For the life of me I can't figure out how to actually submit a site and as far as viewability, it seems to be set up to view on a 860x15 monitor

With so much competetition, you have a lot of "repairs" to do before reposting. Take a look at Kwik Goblin to see simplicity yet PR and indexed pages (shameless plug for those who are frustrated)

Your directory is not Search Engine Friendly. (The links are looking like http://www.thewebis.com/dir/jump.cgi?ID=11 ).

Please make it search engine friendly, so that people love to submit.
