I tried to submit a $2 bid to be double to $4 but the page didn't submit right so the payment url never appeared so I couldn't pay, but not when I try to do it again it says my url is already in the directory.

 

I had a problem too. I tried to raise my bid, made the paypal payment and it does not show it on the site.

 

Meh, seems like a buggy site.

Anyway, if you manage to fix it PM me and I will make my $2 bid

Also, one question, what benefit does doubling all the links have? Surely the order will be exactly the same as if the bids weren't doubled?

Sorry for causing any inconvenience to you all. I have checked it probably because of the server down which cause the url not display properly during the payment stage. I have spoken to the host and they will fix it.

Regarding the link/bid submission, i have tried to place bid on my own link and it works for me. I submit and paid and everything is fine. Just that the bid is not updated until the payment is processed and accepted.

So basically in short description, to submit a new link/bid:

1. Fill in all details and bid amount and submit,
2. you will land in payment page which you use to complete your payment.
3. Once payment done you will either be automatically or manually click redirect back to our website.
4. Here you will see a bid confirmation notice on which url you have placed bid.
5. At this stage you still won't see any update on your link's bid.
6. We will review your bid and process the payment. (Usually takes 12 hours or less)
7. Once payment accepted, you will received a bid confirmation letter from us.
8. Your new bid amount will shown up by now.

Hope this will solve all your questions.

Thanks for your advise. Basically before i put up this promotion i did do some research and found someone else did as well. So...

About manipulating, basically i think is depends on how your think on it. If you think it is a free credits from the owner than it is a free gift. But if you think it is a unethical way, than it is bad. Doubling up the bid concept for certain period of time is acceptable i think. It is just like the same concept of giving away free bid submission.

I think is reasonably for owner of this business to offer such promotion and this will also benefit the users who submit their bids. If you think that this might not be fair for other owner business, they can offer the same thing as well, and if you think is still not fair for those users who submit later on, than i would say you miss the golden oppurtunity.

I won't mention i am right and you are wrong but as like you said, just friendly heads up.
