    obviously google knows about this if they're allowing them to run adsense on their pages lol
    They haven't violated any copyright laws..the search box is provided by AdSense...if they were in violation, Google would be all over them.

    Because singular-plural words are considered MISSPELLS but this is not the case for every letter missing. I gave you the ebay-bay example, and there are many more.
