    I suggest you put those 'members photos' fish pictures on a separate page instead of the index page cause your site takes a reallly long time to load. Most visitors would simply click away before your site loads...which may be a good thing come to think of it...

    No, just create a real thumbnail (using PHP), instead of loading the full sized images.
