I'm wondering if there is any difference in having a domain name like this: www.with-three-words.com or www.withthreewords.com Is it better or worse, or does it not matter if you have a "-" between the words when people search for it on google? Just a question, anyone know?
the one with no dashes is much better from a marketing standpoint. But Google does not car if you have dashes or not. But again how many major websites have dashes?
There really is no difference, but what I prefer to do is get the one without dashes and then capitalize the first letter of each word. That way it makes it look better. IE: www_HaveThreeWord_com This way makes it look cooler, and doesnt change the perceived value of the site.
The reason I ask this is because the one without dashes is already taken but not in use. I know it's easier to remember the one without dashes.. Maybe i should take a .net or .org to get it without the dashes, what do you think?
Theoritically there shouldn't be any difference. But in my experience domains without - work better (I have tried it on 3-4 domains of each type).
There is no difference between those type of domain name. I agree with that the second thing is better than first one. But both are good form of domain name.
