I need an Ballpark price for what a domain like this is worth. **.com (no dashs in there) -Registered in 1995 291,130 visits in 31 days (this is averaged from about two years) Well, that's all I'm allowed to say. What's the ballpark for something like this?
If your domain is something like 9z.com you will probably have to wait long, long years before actually make a fortune. the clue is find the right client not at all the name, even though short dot COMs can aspire for higher bids.
If it's LL.com it's worth High XXX,XXX if it's NN.com middle XX,XXX if LN or NL.com then somwere around were the others said.
Ok, ok. I'll say a bit more about it. I can't say what it is because there could be some Evil pro around here who wants to locate this "off the gird" person who just happens to own it. When I say off the grid, I mean the following: -dude doesn't like the internet. -willing to let it go for $1,200 bucks Although the reason for the big secret is because it's not exactly in my hands yet and I'm new to the webmastering stuff. $1,000 is a lot for someone who is just a loser who works at a random manufacturing company. Does it actually matter of what it's called considering it pulls an average of around 10,000 visitors a day. But something has been bothering me about this deal. For some reason the google page rank is "Nothing". On top of that, that Alexia rank thingy isn't a huge good score either. It's very good, but not as much as I expected. This webmaster stuff is tricky business. If I find out this was a bad deal, no worries. I'll just fly down to his house and smack him around a bit.
The domain itself, I mean the name isn't always worth that much unless there's interest in it, especially for NL.com or LN.com. If it's NN.com it's probably going to be worth much more. And if you develop a site for the hits you're getting it would definitely make a difference as well.
For $1,200 (for a 2 character .com LL, NN, NL, LN) you are getting a VERY good deal. Hop on it ASAP. I MEAN NOW. If you are worried about losing money, buy it for $1,200 and Ill pay you $2,000 for it.
How about 200,000. LOL. I meant losing out like this guy running away with my cash without handing over the goody.
This is so true, but people still dream on having the million-making name just because it's short or it's COM. Anyway Good Luck GrAveTzT
That's a steal! Buy it and don't even think mentioning the domain name here, you are 100% right in that someone will snatch it if they can. I would Use the escrow.com, I even gave you their domain service url in another thread. It's simple and 100% secure.
If you think its worth 200,000 and you can buy it for 1200, why are you even asking? Thats like 99.5% off...
MMm.... yes, those *evil people*... I know what you mean... If your story is true and you really do know some bumpkin that has this DN the least you could do is give him a healthy percentage of any profits you reap from the sale. I can't believe you would actually give this guy a pittance and then possibly make a bundle. Then again, if he is so ignorant and does not have an inkling or the sense to find out what he has before selling it maybe he (and you) deserves what you get. These kind of situations can be a conundrum to me personally. Greed and fear are destroying the world as we know it. I try not to let greed take control of me. Although I am comfortable, I am not super-rich. Yet, I really try to spread the money around, particularly whenever I experience a windfall. If it were me? Mmmm... I would give back 30-50% to the original owner. But that is just me. (Maybe that is why I am not super-rich - simply just not that greedy.) (ok - end of lecture)
