Submit both the www and non-www in Google Webmaster Tools, then tell Google which one you recognise as "canonical" in the options provided in each domain profile.

I guess you did the 301 few days ago. This might take some time to clear, if thats the case.

The 301 will fix it in time.

Also set the preferred domain in webmaster tools.

Log onto your google webmaster central and set it so that google indexes your www. domain only.
Also, I've noticed you spamming your forum everywhere.

As said, webmaster tools will eliminate that problem, or at least it should.

I've tried both the forms myself, in the end chose to stick to www.

Some people tend to overlook this, but it's best to stick to one format and update all (or as many as you can) backlinks to that format, whether non-www or www. The key is to be consistent. Google will update their index in time. Give it a while, no need to panic.

If you referring to submitting to webmaster tools?

Yes you will need to verify your www and non www versions of your site, pretty easy if you have ftp access.

Or if you mean anchor text back links are pointing 5 to your www and 10 to your non www version ie Anchor Text Yes there is a difference. It means your seo and link building efforts are being diluted between "2" sites a www version and a non www version.

uless and until you are not intending to have other subdomains on your site , you should try to build links for just your main domain name
