www and non-www PR issues?

I have a domain "site.com" with current PR of 4 and predicted as 5. When I check for "www.site.com" I get not sufficient links  and no current PR.

    Just a day or two back I put a 301 redirection from "site.com" --"www.site.com"

    Will this impact negatively?

    Hey there,

I am not sure if you know this, but google webmaster tools has a utility to set your preferred domain name.

For instance, if you select www.domainName.com instead of domainName.com, google will reindex your links to www.domainName.com.

According to their documentation, this gives a more accurate estimate of PR.

I would check this out if I were you.

    Sincerely,
    Travis Walters
