Hey, I dunno if you already know about this, or if it's just me but when trying to access the forums via: http://www.forums.digitalpoint.com/ it doesn't work, however when accessing the forums from http://forums.digitalpoint.com/ it works, is it just me or is it everyone? Thanks.
Everyone using http://forums.digitalpoint.com/ as this forum is a subdomain of main domain digitalpoint.com DON.
http://www.forums.digitalpoint.com/ is actually an incorrect format. The 'forums' bit takes the place of the 'www' bit as they're both subdomains for the domain digitalpoint.com. Kind of like introducing yourself as human after telling folks your name when meeting them.
Actually it is. There's an RFC against incorrect www usage like that. You have to get off the internet now for 5 years.
That was meant as a joke. Note that they forward it to the correct one without it. This actually comes from a bug with BIND back in the um, well, a very long time ago where fourth level domains with the *.com extension weren't accessible. Some networks I have to use, using the extra prefix caused the url to not be accessible.
