Anybody think 2K destroyed the WWE games that were previously hits from THQ? Because, yeah. They always have bugs, you find your data gets erased, there are clipping issues, and glitches with the win animations, etc. I mean, seriously. Why release the same exact game anyway on an annual basis? Basically, they could just do a season pass type thing (which they more or less can do anyway, just a bit different to how I imagine it). So say you buy a game for $60, you can be promised new season modes for three more years, which means it is still fresh and if soneone gets a new gimmick, they can just put this in place via an update. As it is now, they charge you a quarter of the price for new models, so not to feel outdated, just because the other packs they advertised are already out, so it's like, "Hey. If we did not promote it at launch, it doesn't count now" (or something). But they recently ended online gameplay for '22. Like, that's dumb. A lot of fans still prefer to play online because of the CAW modes, their custom championships, leagues and so on. So this is pointless when the game may be under a year old currently. This is just a forceful way to get people to invest in '23. And fighting games are the same way. Often the gameplay is watered down instead of feeling good. I think this is just as pointless.
