I too think closing is due to MPAA threats, if it was affiliate payout problem then they could easily solve this issue by only keeping the PPS 70 plan. As in PPS plan they only need to pay when real sales come, also they could get plenty of rebills too.

If he suddenly said he can no longer afford to pay affiliate after all this successful launch, and without even consider to reduce the payout plan, that seems a little bit fishy to me.
so yeah, I think its because that MPAA
when it comes to law, you can't do much except closing this program

 

If it was because of that then why aren't they shutting down completely? You can still upload and download from Wupload...

 

thanks for the last 1 year wupload it was an experience making money with you... but some way I'm happy that I don't have to suck with upload errors, content stealers and especially that brain-damaging agressive race between the users which it generated, anymore

This is so bad! I mean, sent you a valid screenshot... I'm an active affiliate with $10+ and i answered all the questions!

 

So I guess RU will neve be fixed and the techs were working 24/7 to shut down the affiliate program eh? lol

Oh well, I saw it coming ever since they started with all the upload isues and this is what happens when you don't put a limit to members, they abuse the system and screw things up for the rest.

Although, I just read the last 2 pages and maybe it was all cos of MPAA like you guys said. Kinda fishy if you ask me.

I always liked Wupload service, but I never liked people using them to spam on forums endlessly. That was really disgusting. Wupload can really say a big THANK YOU to those people now.

I don't see why people are still asking about "why is Wupload closing down?" - they're not closing down, the affiliate program on Wupload is closing down, and if you extended your premium acc for a year or two you'll be still able to download existing files on WU as premium.

As one user mentioned, it would be nice still to have a point earning system through which a person can only extend his own premium account, it would motivate people to keep their files on wupload alive and perhaps still share them around like some people are sharing Rapidshare links around.

Thank you spammers and WU to WU remote-upload abusers, for helping SO MUCH in this happening. It will be such a delight and pleasure for me to download from you after the 27th of November.

 

It would be nice to give points for each completed download so users can extend their premium using these accumulated points and can use wupload for backup or remote uploading machine like fs to wu and wu to fs or to any other file hosts.
