Whenever I go to WU the exchange rate for dollars is always around $1.5 less than the original rates and can only receive the amount in Rupees rather than dollars... and they say the amount is converted the day it is sent from USA Nopt the day I receive it. anyonew also experience the same in pakistan..
Nope, they say that "You will be paid according to the currency rate of THAT day" no matter when did you sent the money and whatever rate was on that day. I am using WU for 1 year now and they always say the same thing I mentioned above.
Zarco Exchange charges some money for converting USD into PKR. And also they fix the converting rates for some days...
any pakistani here can understand what i am reying to say here..ALL WU in PAKISTAN karachi say the exchange rates is fixed when the amount is sent.
Western Union Deduct Some Money By Giving you less dollar rate - Thats Because they dnt charge it from google.
Yea it is exactly like that. The dollar exchange rate is set for the day the payment is dispatched from google and is always about 1.5 ~ 2 rupees less per dollar than the market rate.
@RovingCalypso .... r u from pakistan..and can u tell a way that I can track the amount sent by typing in MTCN no. or something ...on WU site it doesnt seem to work out for us
Yes you are right about the exchange rate difference. Read my adsense western union review If you find WU too expensive you need to sit down and do the calculations on a spreadsheet. Alternate methods like standard cheque and secured delivery maybe cheaper for you. You can also set a hold on your payment so that you accrue a larger amount and save on cheque clearance fees.
cheques taake longer to clear than WU...but the thing is WU in pakistan should pay in $ rather than ruppees like in phillipens in the adsense program get dollars there.
Yeah your right but that is how they make their money. Its there on the WU site that they profit from exchange rate differences. Also I think its also likely that state bank of pakistan requires WU to payout in rupees rather than dollars.
@abdusamd..so far how much u've gained form adsense through WU.....and dont u thnk we should do something about changing the system to allow us to pay us back in Dollars rather than rupees....just think for each dollar they pay around 0.7-1 Rupees less..Imagine how much they steal from us even if we get just 100$... If someone gets 1000$ from WU..they already made a profit 1000 rupees over that..
Yes, for larger sums of money, cheque is the cheaper option but for even a 1k$, WU is the cheaper and the quicker option.
Well, I received my big payments via Western Union monthly, I use " Zarco Exchange and Qatar Exchange " An example, 3-5 days ago, I got payment in GBP (Great British Pounds) and the rate on that day was 123.50 or but I got, 119 per GBP in PKR. So you will find change.. You can always confirm the rate by calling to your nearest agent and can confirm the today's rate, It will help. - Imran
There is no such thing as a free payment method. Even cheques have a cost associated with them in the form of bank cheque collection fees or a requirement to maintain a large balance if you want free collection. I alternate my adsense payment methods depending on the amount and the reliability of the Pakistani mail system. I prefer cheques but sometimes my cheques get lost due to the unreliability of the Pakistani postal system and I have to get them stopped and get my money via WU or DHL delivery.
SO WU has some reliable where i can contact and confirm this matter..anyone can give an idea about that
Dude! Actually they deduct their service charges in shape of tailored dollar rates! I frequently deal with Habib Qatar & Zarco mostly! but gonna use Faysal Bank as they official allowed in each branch
