    I assumed that everyone bidding has been around long enough to realize that earning sites don't sell for 4x's earnings.

    You are all correct, it was my fault. I apologize. I just assumed a "reasonable" price based on the PM's I recieved early on.

    I will make sure that I put a very clear reserve for everyone that apparently buy sites on here for 3-4x's earnings. I just never have and assumed bidders would be reasonable.

    BTW, if either of you have a site that earns $70+/month, I will be happy to buy them for $300... Please let me know..

    Sites generally sell for whatever they sell for in an auction. When you say there is a reserve and BIN TBA and end the auction before announcing that, it's a waste of everyones time. Next time, I would make things a bit more transparent.

    I expect a BIN of $850 or possibly more was what he wanted. A stable site thats been making $70 a DAY at some point and is now easily making $xxx a month should not sell for $300.

    My experience has been that earnings and traffic for most sites for sale here are either exagerated or rigged to show a temporary spike. Also, if you put your emotions aside, you will realize that most sites for sale here are junk. Heck, why do you think they are for sale?

    By the way, in regards to this site, it is one of the better ones for sale. Hence, the interest in this offering. My comments were of a general nature.

    However, I have noticed one major flaw in this site and if I were to buy it, I would want that corrected.

    However, I just did some more research on this site and I noticed a recent spike in traffic and then a quick downturn. I would be suspicious of this. I once fell for that in a purchase of a website and I got nailed.

    Perhaps those of you who are a bit more experienced can comment on how one gets such a spike to a website.
