This auction is for a blog I started back in July 2006. It is a web development blog with a sprinkle of personal posts mixed in. For the majority of this blog's life, the focus of the posts have been ways for webmasters to improve their website networks through seo optimization, monetization, and marketing techniques. I've also posted about my own network of sites (including when I've launched new websites and sold websites). This blog has been somewhat of a journal of my web development journey over the past two years.

There are currently 396 posts 1,410 comments on the blog. The RSS subscriber number usually fluctuates around 115-120. The site right now averages like 70-80 uniques/day, but of course that varies based on how often I post.

All traffic comes from search engines and direct back links. There are many fellow bloggers that link back to this blog. I've done blogroll exchanges with some, and others just linked to this blog because they like it. I've never paid to advertise this blog or paid to be on anyone's blogroll.

A lot of you may be concerned about bidding on a blog that has a name for the domain. If you browsed DP as long as I have then you know that there have been blogs sold here in the past that have a firstnamelastname.com domain. This blog only has a lastname.com. And the name lithman could be used in other ways, not just a name. By buying this site in no way will you have to keep blogging as my name for the readers to be satisfied. I haven't done enough personal blogging on this site for readers to be attached to just me. They come for the content, not pictures of a hot girlfriend or something.

This blog is run on Wordpress and the domain is regged at Godaddy for easy/free push. The site doesn't use a lot of resources and could get by on a cheap hosting plan.

Why Am I Selling?

1. I am getting married in a few weeks now and am in a big bind for money.
2. Posting on this blog is almost becoming a chorse for me. Something I don't enjoy it, and when you reach that point I feel like it's time to move on.

Revenue for this blog has been very limited as of late, mostly due to my not caring about monetizing this site. I installed Adsense about 2-3 weeks ago to see how it would perform, and honestly it hasn't done well in the ad sopts I've tried. Where this site makes money is paid reviews, sponsored posts, and featured links. In February I made $50 for a paid review. In the past I've sold reviews for anywhere from $25-40 per review.

I sold several featured links on DigitalPoint for this blog.. usually around $10-12 per month per link. At the moment though, there are no paid links on this site.

BIN: $1500

The BIN may seem high to some, but this site is nearly 2 years old and is a very mature blog. It has strong PR and a ton of inbound links. Readership is loyal and the RSS count is always solid. There is plenty of potential to sell private advertising and make your money back.
