    Thanks for the PM ..... You say the site is new (4 months old). To get the user numbers so high so quick you obviously paid for advertising? Is this an on going thing and how much does it cost?

    I wouldn't call it new at 120,000+ posts, it's just grown rapidly in a short time. At the start we advertised by paying a guy to go around spreading the word. That was the first month really. However now I attribute this to the popularity of the content/games covered in the site. The GAIA forum is the largest forum on the internet and therefore we have received 10,000s of hits from there as gamers share our community since we have a good base of reviews, guides, cheats etc. Have also placed a few ads on Google Adwords, but didn't really do much.

    We also have affiliates with other gaming sites and have had a enthusiastic advertising team who went into the games themselves and advertised (for free) and referred members. That is a testement to the member loyalty of the site. All this has occured with little help via Google. Now the site is more open and better SEOed you can expect the traffic to increase markedly with that many topics being indexed.
