Reposted from a previous thread (with permission from DP mods) which was interrupted due to an attack on my server. Everything is great now.

I've sold a lot of sites here that are of very high quality -- go back in my feedback to check them all out. I develop A LOT of sites, a few I keep. The majority I let back out into the wild. If you look at these sites (as well as this one), I build sites that hopefully are appealing to everyone, can make a lot of money, and look quality enough to go viral and get media attention.

    Why don't I keep them?

Since keeping a wide variety of sites spreads my resources, I sell the ones that I no longer want to promote, market, or just want to let go. I have several, very reliable contractors that I use on each project and I have them constantly pumping sites out much like this one.

Thanks for reading this far, here are the stats:

    URL: www.leavingthefolks.com

Check out the site for it's name -- it's a site that helps people make the transition from living at home to being independent. Covers the basics of getting an apartment, buying a first car, opening a bank account, etc. It covers the basics of first-time everything, for a student graduating or for someone leaving their parents house for the first time.

    Features:

Design. Custom, beautiful. Very web2.0, built in CSS. All the icons/images are stock, paid for at istockphoto.com. If you'd like to hire the designer, PM me -- they charge $500 per design.

Page comment script. Custom made, like everything else. Very easy to use, no programming knowledge required. Just create a new PHP page and if you're including the comments file, the page will automatically be able to have comments and it will function beautifully.

Yahoo! Answers-like script. Custom, once again. Answer scripts are very popular these days. This allows people to post questions (which you moderate through a web admin) and have them posted on the site, which people can answer. It also shows how long ago they were posted, who posted it, and what their subject matter is. New pages created by this script are using mod_re-write and are SEO friendly.

This is the web-based admin control panel to approve/deny both added comments, and answers. It's done from a single page and you are even shown the IP address of the user, to ban offenders.

Content. Content was made by one of the writers who used to work for The Home Depot's website (and has writing on there now). If you'd like his services, I can transfer his information over to the winning buyer.

All content is unique except for the Money section. The copywriter of the money content is a professional in the financial field, someone I've known for a few years, and is based on her PLR content. She's only sold the PLR twice before, and she's not actively promoting to sell it anymore. I've changed titles and content parts where needed, so you shouldn't be afraid of a duplicate content penalty or whatever other nonsense anyway.

Each article page is flat (apartment-hunting.php, etc), but is full of includes -- the footer, nav, right nav, banners, social links, and comments are all PHP includes -- so it's very easy to update these features on the site.

http://www.leavingthefolks.com/cost.php Custom. Using PHP/AJAX, we allow people to track how much it will cost to live in their particular area. All the data inputted in the cost of living tool is recorded anonymously and compiles the removed for educational, non-scientific purposes. A pretty awesome and useful tool, one that was dugg by 132+ (real) people.

    Stats
The site has been in production for a few months, with the domain registered in Jan of 2008. Traffic varies, from 20 visitors a day to 60. The site is pretty much completely indexed in Google.

The site has a a couple of solid natural links from media outlets, one is First Coast News. Good, permanent authority link.

    Income is essentially non-existent.

    Summary
As the site is new and has no income, I'm not one of those crazies expecting $10,000 or anything. However, I know it has some value. The concept is great, with the target market being individuals who are starting work and beginning to have money. They need products and services for their new life. It has a great, custom design with a unique tool and some very useful programming. The content is solid. Whether you buy the site for just itself or buy it and extract all the programming to use on a different site, it's definitely worth something.

I'll leave you guys to figure that out.

    Starting bid: $50
    Bid increments: $50
    Reserve: TBA
    Buy it Now: $2,400
Auction ending: Thursday, 20th of March at 12 PM Noon

    Good luck.

I don't want people to be discouraged from bidding, so no more bids via PM.

Please post all bids in the thread. Thanks!

That page loads OK for me, chimaera.

The current bid is not past my reserve, but it's getting close.

If you want to PM me and discuss any possible BIN or deal, feel free to.
