Title : Is PayPal getting dropped, or picked up? Well, it's hard to tell really - From a number of sources 'Yes, they are being left behind' But other's argue that this online 'credit card' is actually still on the rise. PayPal, hardly lives up to it's name. Ok, well you can 'Pay' pretty good and secure. But the 'Pal' haha, no way! I doubt all the sellers on ebay and shops benefit from the high percent it charges! So, back to the question. Personally, I believe yes - they are getting left behind. I think that all experienced ebayer's and shops are realising that Paypal will happily take a chunk out of their profits! However, small time sellers are happy with PayPal since it's given them a safe way to get paid. 40yr old single parents trying to sell their child's old clothes, don't mind about a small percent. Another issue that could worry PayPal is a rise in other companies, Such as Egold, AlertPay and Google Checkout. These are all companies that do the same ting as PayPal, however some are much 'kinder' to their sellers -Offering lower percentages to people. A bonus for paypal is that it is the only one of it's kind on Ebay. This encourages sellers to either, leave Ebay or pay the price to PayPal. Ebay have reported a great loss of people within the last year, and other sites such as Ebuyer.com and ebid.net have reported a (even) larger gain this year than normal. One other thing that plays a part in why PayPal could be falling, is the fact that PayPal sellers are getting targetted by whats known as 'Phishing' and YES I have spelt that right. Phishing is where lame people sent fake emails in the hope that someone will sign onto their 'fake' PayPal page (which usually looks the same) using there password/username. Thus sending it to some random people -Who know now your password! My last words, It's to big to fall. It will always have support from some people. And I damn well hope thats not you after reading this!
