Google take ages to update their backlinks - or maybe the link has a nofollow? I'm not sure, just ideas..

its not fake, its shows PR7 on that link for me

And same shows Firefox and Google toolbars, site probably has disallowed google to crawl it in robot.txt so its not indexed

It's really easy to get a fake page rank for a page,
People make a killing selling fake PRed domains with redirects

You put up a 301 redirect to the site/page with the amount of PR you want to fake, wait for a PR update to happen , then take down the 301 redirect and put whatever you want up.

Never tried it, but I think, it is done by feeding a redirect page to googlebot.

And the most reliable way to verify a PR is looking at the google cache (cache:http://www.solarevents.com/). There you'll see the real address.
