I think this is a quick job, but I welcome all feedback: The code I'm after consists of 2 pages: - The admin page: basically what I'm aiming for is a page that has one input field that always has the focus. The admin enters some text which is submitted by hitting enter, at which point the text is submitted to a MySQL database; refreshed to a div on the page (via AJAX) and focus is returned to the input field for the next message to be entered. There is also a two buttons that the admin can press to send (hardcoded) messages to the database - basically just a shortcut, so the same message doesn't have to be typed all the time. An example of a message could be "Hello DP members" - The user page: a simple page that is automatically refreshed every 30 seconds and displays all the comments entered (or maybe the last 20 or so) in the MySQL database by the admin. The 2 pages must be designed for Ajax (so only that div is refreshed and not the entire page), but will gracefully degrade if Javascript is not available - the user page can be accessed via a mobile/cell phone. At the moment, I'm after functional results rather than pretty web pages, but if you can do both that would be great. Now here's the problem. I need this code ASAP because it's part of a larger project that I really need finished by the end of this month (yes, January), at the VERY latest, Feb 10. I'm VERY wary of paying for work to start because I've just had another DP member who told me 2 weeks ago he could do this, and today informed me that he can't do it and now won't reply to any of my comms. Budget: $150USD via PayPal, but please tell me if that is unrealistic.
