Buying WTH: need program to create subdomains

right now i have a script that creates dynamic pages with a long hash URL code at the end, similar to this:
mymainwebsite.com/directory/page.php?id=as90809a8s0983923jk4l2kj9802k3ljlk2j3

What im looking to do is turn that into a something like this:
username.shorturl.com

the "username" would be the domain name that we setup, minus "http," "www" and the ".com" or other TLD. so if the url was http://somepetstorewebsite.com it would make the short URL to somepetstorewebsite.shorturl.com

yes, correct. when the account is created it would create a subdomain

 

Do you use cPanel as control panel?

 

yes i do have cpanel

I understand that you need subdomains created, but after that do you want the subdomain to redirect somewhere, or is it something else?
