I want to hire an ambitious PHP/MySQL programmer with mindblowing imagination and the ability to code clean, well optimized code. This would be a long term, on going position and I prefer programmers from Eastern Europe. You would be working on a very complex and powerful website with high traffic hence the requirements for quality job with minimal bugs (and speedy bug fixes if they are discovered) is essential. You also must have an absolutely perfect ability to read the code written by other programmers and should be able to work with it and as part of it so your code flawlessly blends into the existing one. Because of high traffic, you would be required to demonstrate the ability to optimize the code so it's fast loading and doesn't beat the database even if a thread with 500 posts gets thousands of hits a minute. If you're on top of the PHP game and looking to be a part of an exciting project, hit me up via PM. Make sure you have your portfolio with references ready. No cut and paste companies please and do not spam me with 30 links. If you're going to showcase your work, show me up to 5 of your best sites. You must have references.
I'm interested with this and can provide sample clean codes, portfolio and references that are from UK/US/AU but the big problem is 'I'm not from Eastern Europe.' If ever interested to hire someone outside from that place, just pm me for more details.
Not cheaper. They are more expensive, but more reliable and more responsible. Most of all, they're better experts capable of delivering great results. I've worked with programmers form India, Pakistan, Egypt and Vietnam and aside from Vietnam, all other were in it to rip me off. Guys from Vietnam were good guys who did a good job, however their code now needs to be fixed because the database gets heavy beating cause they did so many things wrong. Otherwise very stable and reliable code, but badly optimized, killing my servers. On the other hand, I have worked with several programmers form Eastern Europe and Russia and had nothing but positive experiences. Highly qualified guys with great coding skills and never playing any mind games. Trying hard to make money by doing good work, instead of trying to make money by deception. If you are not Eastern European and have the most sincere belief that you are an honest and competent programmer, send me a note too. I make no promises, but you never know. I just want to work with a reliable, no bullshit person who can help me grow and grow with me.
I do agree with that. Most of the reliable Programmers/Designers are from US/UK/AU but I believe I can compete with them. Please pm or email me for more details. Regards, Mark
Thanks for responses. If any more programmers would like to explore new possibilities, please do not hesitate to contact me
I'm still sorting out the project details you provided. I'm making a summarize list to make it better to understand in both parties. Regards, Mark
Hey Mark, much appreciate the time you took to speak with me. Still looking forward to hearing form you once you have looked over the specifics of my project. Glad to hear you haven't forgotten
Can we use other communication tool like instant messengers(below my itrader point) for faster communication?
One thing I wanted to clarify. I prefer to deal with individual programmers, not companies. Please do not contact me if you represent a company with your offers. I want a one on one contact and want to deal directly with the guy/girl who will be working on my site. Mark - added you to my msn
Mark, I think your last post is directed at me, although correct me if I'm wrong. Let me clarify. Six months ago, I was only a freelance developer, and my portfolio links reflect that time period. Then I got hired at a full-time shop up until this June, and that is the work that I can't reveal under NDA. Currently I'm employed part-time by a company working on their single website, but since it's only about 20 hours a week, I'm looking for more work, as a freelance developer. It wasn't until I didn't receive a response in a while from you that I realized your last post was referring to me. So to clear the confusion, I'm looking for work as a freelance developer, not as a company. I represent myself only. Hope that changes things a bit and you'll give my resume another look. Thanks!
Hi Jason, no it wasn't directed at you. As a matter of fact, you and Mark were two of only a few individual programmers I responded to, majority of PMs I got were from someone representing a company telling me that they've got 30 programmers standing by to solve all of my problems, yadda yadda. My previous experience dealing with companies was terrible. Plus it looks like they cut and paste their preformatted responses to everyone who looksike potential client. they don't even read what you're asking for. Terrible. In no way has it been directed at you. I'm actually glad you contacted me
Alright, cool. I definitely agree with that sentiment, many people, often native to a certain country on the other side of the globe (guess who!), seem to cut and paste their cookie cutter response into any post remotely related to technology, and it's rather annoying, spam-like, and definitely brings down the quality and social image of the industry as a whole. Glad to know it wasn't me, and I hope to be in touch with you soon!
